| Our Historic Tour visits the main attractions of La Candelaria, the historical district of Bogota. The tour begins at Plaza de Bolivar where we will appreciate the Prime Cathedral, the Presidential Palace, the National Capitol, Casa 20 de Julio, Lievano Palace (the Mayor’s Office) and the Justice Palace. Then, we will walk through the cobbled and narrow streets of La Candelaria and observe it’s surprising colonial architecture and the district’s different attractions. We will visit Botero's Museum, which houses over 85 paintings of international known artists and 120 works from famous Fernando Botero. The next step of the tour will be the Gold Museum, home of the world’ s largest pre-Hispanic gold work collection, which is just a short stroll away. Afterward, you will be shown the Quinta de Bolivar, home of the well-known Simon Bolivar, liberator of 5 Latin American countries. During the tour we will offer a concise overview of our pre- Hispanic, colonial and contemporary history.
